lol do they do the thing where they look like they are eating nothing in the air and pull their heads back, but it looks like they are laughing? am i making sence? lol. mine do that. it's funny. i tell them they are crack heads

lol okay i will check it out. i have some cute videos but my phone won't let me e-mail them and i have been too lazy to plug my phone into my lap top, but i guess i will lol.

mine are free rang every day and come back every night. They fly on my house but they always come back , knock on wood.
They are pretty easy and walk them self in the coop. I started to lock them up at night because some thing was eating my muscovies. found 3 dead one morning and 1 injured . Had to put her to sleep.
I think the rest of the flock know that if they stay outside same thing will happen to them.
I don't have to do anything they walk all in.

I usually keep my new ducks in the pen for a week before letting them out to free range..after that they're pretty used to the other ducks and follow them back to the pen at night.

When they learn that the pen is their home, they'll come back!

My pair have always freeranged in our backyard, but were making such a poopy mess on top of the chicken coop/run that earlier this week I put them in with our two hens. Wednesday I let them out. I went into the garage to get some food for them, came back, and my female was gone. The drake just walking around aimlessly told me that he didn't have a clue where she was either.

After scoping out the neighbors backyard's the best I could, I decided to head over to the retention pond behind us, as I could hear some ducks quacking. I walked in the house to tell my wife, came back out, and there she was, sitting on top of the coop (not there before). I don't know where she went, but at least she was only gone about 10 minutes.

I haven't clipped wings yet, but may have to do so, as I don't want her to mate with anyone but her partner here at home.

I just lost a goose yesterday, no idea where she went.... so now i dont know if i want to chance the muscovies....
