Freestanding nest box?

That's adorable. Mine are part time free rangers (when we are home) and yet mine still returned to lay her first egg today. Our property isn't as big though.

Just picked up egg #5 - all the rest have been in the nest box inside the coop. So free rangers, it can work! Have been really lucky, nice strong shells (and delicious). So this may just be an emergency nest, but I love it anyway.
