I'm not sure if someone else mentioned this, but could they possibly be laying elsewhere and eating them? A few of mine were doing that this summer. I could not figure out why they weren't laying and I couldn't find proof that they were eating them. Come to find out, they were laying elsewhere and eating them. I wasn't seeing proof because they would scratch dirt over anything left behind. Smart little suckers!
I was able to break them by putting fake eggs in their coop. Eventually they started laying in the coop (well, except for a few times) and stopped eating the eggs.
I only have one laying occasionally now because of the winter. She wasn't laying either until I put the heat lamp in the coop. Now she's started laying again.
