Freezing Feed in Barn

Oh good! Cuz I just remembered I left a bag in the trunk of my car. I'm sure it'll be below freezing out there.

Come to think of it - me, too! :D
Excellent storage choice in the winter.

But do remember in summer the heat will cook out some of the nutrients.
 
Freezing feed is actually a great way to keep it fresh.
I had thought about getting a freezer to store extra feed (it's been so hit and miss getting feed). But it's so humid here that once frozen I don't think it could be safely removed.
 
My feed bin is getting close to empty, so there is no worry that I'll forget the 40 weight in my trunk to help with traction is really for the chickens. :lau But a good reminder not to do that in the warm months. Thanks!
