how was your Christmas?

Good morning. First chick was breech, it sat all night and was hollering this morning. I gave it a little help since it couldn't turn to zip and it popped out. Yellow with gray stripes, I'll get pics when it's dry. Second has pipped, looks like it is going to be a while before it's ready. 6 more sitting silent...

This is my first hatch in the Eco 20. Humidity is holding about 69% with the paper towel across the wells trick and of course it's rock solid temperature. I did add two wet sponges as my drastic humidity correction days 14-18 appears to have dried the membranes a bit overmuch. The first one pipped brown. The second was normal.

Now that makes the way I do it just sound primitive. But even the ice tents make a huge difference. I take a cooler and a back packing stove, and I'll cook little smokies, or other little things while I fish. Hoping to get out sometime this week.

no sometimes I would rather just sit on a bucket on the ice....there is just something so peaceful about winter. The other thing that's nice is if your at a place where other people are you can mosey over and BS for a while.

how was your Christmas?

Christmas was great. We had everyone over and it started to Thundersleet in the Evening, so everyone left early. I was very scared that one of them would end up getting in a wreck and hurt on Christmas (It would never be ok, but on Christmas seems worse). But all are safe, so a very Merry Christmas for us.
The kids got tons of toys, most are still being played with
