I love that look.  Our dog does it when I let a squirrel go by unmolested.  It's like a "*** is wrong with you, that would have been easy!" or when I discard something that was living in the back of the fridge too long with a look that expresses "You know, I would have been very happy to eat that, you inconsiderate thing.  If I could open the fridge door, I'd share with you".

Exactly. Mine swarm me every morning when I put my shoes on. They know I'm going somewhere and they try to guilt trip me into taking them.

Ours prefers to tell us when he is ready to go, and whether he wants to walk or go with the bike or in the car.  He does not care so much about the destination, it's the journey.

When we fail to get the hint, he can become quite annoying, including false alarm barks to get us to the door where the leashes hang.

Our boxer loves the journey, but would prefer the destination to be home, please. Unless we're camping--that's the only time she'll eat or drink when not at home.

Snow geese! That's an amazing sight! I'd love to see that... And hunt them!
