thanks OZ...it happened in 2001 during a big biker rally we have here in little lake every year...unfortunately it had to happen right here on the highway behind my house. I get to see the memorial all the time reminds me....I guess now that the painful part is over is a good thing I get reminded of my friend.
I felt guilty for the longest time cuz I know the deer was headed for my garden.

Glad you got over that guilt and realized its not something you caused!

If we could direct deer to go where we want them, when we wanted them to, hunting wouldn't be any fun, right?

Can't blame yourself for that but I understand how you feel. My friend that was with me blames himself for talking to me when I cut my thumb off. It was my own negligence I'm just glad he was there to help cause my dear wife would have freaked out if she had been there alone with me.
