Ok, I was just kidding. Here's the last time I shaved, 15 years ago:

Good morning! I have a serious question when lockdown duck eggs is there anything different that i need to do vs chicken eggs?
Wait a lot longer... :/
I'm gonna have the kids catch this one this evening, to get some better pics of the coloring on her feathers........pretty amazing.
Bert, sorry but that's definitely a dude... seriously, ask Walnut about her transvestite cockerel... :gig
Text? No one has my number :smack Except Oz :gig
Are you sure??? :D ;)
Made the right connections I guess. Found some eggs bought some and now I am waiting on some more. However her birds stopped laying. I want to really focus more just on the Ayams and stop everything else. I can only have a small backyard operation so I have to be picky about my breeding. I do however have a bunch of different breeds in my layer pen/pet pen. ;)
If you ever decide to get rid of that Ogye pullet, please let me know???
There are SO many chickens that look great. IF I'd ever get chickens, I don't know how I would ever be able to choose which breed. How did all of you decide which chickens to get?
Well, it went like this... OH said, that looks pretty... and so does that... and those are pretty too... :lau Hatch out a bunch of different ones, see how they are after they grow up and keep what you like... :)
Not that anyone is counting, but I made a typo earlier. I have 17 left in the incubator, not 27. I hate typing on my phone!
X2!!!!!
Now wait, what's more important? Your husband and your job, or a narcissist's thread on a chicken site? :hit Wait, don't answer that :gig
:smack
Seriously... last night I got home, went to check eggs, incubator, brooder, blah, blah... he said "do you think I could get 5 minutes of your time?" :he I turned a little more red last night. Assisted a middle-of-the-egg pipper that I started yesterday morning, expecting that it would die while I was at work. Remember, this is Armand's baby. When I got home, it was still alive, so I figured if I was going to have to cull it anyway, I might as well continue helping. Over the course of a couple of hours, I had it to where all that was left in the shell was its butt, but I wanted it to push out on its own. It finally did! Here's what was left of the shell. This was a big egg and the air cell was small. I think that's why it was malpositioned. And here's the chick this morning. Perfect and adorable!! On the flip-side, the other wrong-ender that actually hatched unassisted, still has a bum leg. I'm trying to work it, but it may end up being culled. Its odd, because its not the normal splay, or slipped tendon. Its almost like the tendon is too tight. The leg is folded up tightly, so I'm trying rehab, stretching it out. Oddly enough, these 2 are the only 5-toe ones of the 7. The final egg never pipped.
:love
:love I may have turned a little purple on my last hatch (aside from pulling them out when they dry :gig) I had another stargazer from Johnny, but not as severe as the splash. I spent an hour Saturday morning getting her to drink, then massaging her neck and trying to get her to hold her head steady. By lunchtime she stopped the rolling. Now, every time she hears my voice she runs out from under the heater. When I pick her up, I start rubbing her cheeks, and she will turn side to side like a cat with her eyes closed. Very un-sclike :gig I'll try and get a picture of her tonight
Now he comes outta the closet!! :lau
Last week... Was good news.....no serious issues. Didn't even complain about liver function this time. KIDNEYS were okay for a change. DID up my pain meds but they haven't been working very well for a while. tell me about it.....:/
Good to hear, my friend... :thumbsup
You need to try a batch of turkeys. Really. Naptime
Oh, I would love to see SC with turkeys!! :highfive:

I've been thinking on that........

if it is a dude, then I may give him his own pen with a few colorful mixed breed hens. I'd get more eggs to hatch with a roo, versus one hen......

Take a video! Did you get the OEGB hens home?

I will try to get a video. Gal is coming to get them this evening.
And I sure didn't get those hens yet! Couldn't tear myself from the bator long enough to go get them, and she said no hurry, so maybe this weekend.
I did get new pics though, I'll send ya and see what you think.

Pretty dude.

Got to shoot a few guns at work today. I have to coolest job!
I need to get out and shoot. Where can you go to shoot long range here? We used to go out to Fost, is that still an option? Are you law enforcement?

It would have to be Sid. He's a lot prettier than me

No pips in the remaining 5 last night, so I dumped them, cleaned it up, and set 14 from Johnny and 11 from Jack. I'll also start collecting Sidewing's eggs today, so I'll have some fertility info on Johnny by Monday so he can decide if he wants those eggs or not

Congrats WV that stinker is super cute. I had one loan SLW hatch last night. I'm sure it's a pullet and I can tell it's going to have great type. I will try to get a pic tomorrow.

There is a range by Brigham City. They have a 1,000 yard range. Here is their website.

That's a pretty good drive for you though. My buddy goes out near Saltair and just shoots, but I've never been with him, so I just know the vague direction. There is also a shorter range near the Henefer WMA, but that's a very primitive range.

I work for an outdoor company, actually. We have some firearm related products we produce, as well as some firearm brands. I am traveling at one of the locations, and they have an indoor range to test fire some different guns and ammo. I got to shoot an S&W 460, a .416 rifle, a glock 17 pistol and another gun that was fun.
