Cleaning the duck pool today. Hubby put a nice drain in it last fall, and it worked like a charm! Even with all the buildup from the winter. I laid a strainer over the drain and caught most of the gunk. It was awesome! Now its refilling and I'm thawing out my hands

It's so easy to get lost in the day-to-day that we forget the other things that are so important.

So about a week ago some thing ate 2 of our 3 ceramic eggs. (Vanished into thin air, they were there one day and gone the next morning.

) and now all the hens lay here. (In the back of my dad's pickup wheres theres like 8 pine strew bales.

Pretty eggs! Think it was a snake that ate the ceramic eggs? Or maybe a rat stole them? Strange

@RavynFallen . . My poor Ogye is dead!!!! . I think she broke her own neck. All I got was a picture and confirmation of death as I am in still in DC. Just the way she was positioned with her head between the crate and the board. I think she might have laid her first egg before she died also. It's a small cream egg but I will have to look when I get home tomorrow night.

I miss you guys when I don't have time to catch up or post. Taking my daughter prom dress shopping on Salina this AM..ugh....it's gonna be a long day... Phil I hope your wife is.better! I was scared to death for you both!! How terrible! But the important thing is that she got medical attention and hopefully is feeling better? LOL...Okay, I'll confess. They're all used to being caught by mama duck for weekly once overs. I just happened to surprise them...only for the pics & then took them off. They hated wearing them.

I used to assist when I did a lot of shipped, but now I only assist my Calls... if it's still moving and hasn't started zipping, wait... but if the membrane is dry around the hole and it seems like it is truly stuck, go ahead and assist if you feel comfortable with it... warning, some assist do well, some do not... if you need help, just holler...

The hole looks clean with no tan slime so I'll wait. It's one of Flocks EEs so I'm really hoping he pops on out.
