French frogs

Forgot how pretty these lavender orpingtons are as chicks.

They are gorgeous! With any luck I will have a few next week!

:hugs for the Dr.

:hugs    Aw, sorry.  I can certainly relate to how you feel.

We learned a bunch, though from all your help. We also learned that heat lamps dehydrate sick chicks quick so we're getting a plate or building a mama heating pad. We learned we could assist a hatching chick if we had to. We even force fed the little guy for the last 12 hours as a last ditch effort with a broth of water, Nutradrench , and starter crumbles. Little guy just flayed around and curled up, and cried but his bodily functions kept working.

I know I'm pleased. Did you get full feeling back?

Full feeling, but not full motion. I still have the fingertip, and the tendons contracted. Stretchers didn't work. I should have had the tip removed, it creates issues. It's very vulnerable to cuts and tears because of the extensive scar tissue, and because it's hooked, it catches on bifold door edges. And that hurts. A lot.

But on the good side, I can carry 25 pound bags by the handle on my little finger.

Oh I think hers are Lav Ams, right? But awesome! I have a soft spot for all the lavs, and blues too.
