French frogs

Read some of King's... prefer the movies to the books... for books I prefer Dean Koontz...

Terry Brooks - Scions of Shannara... Mercedes Lackey - Heralds of Valdemar, also the Gryphon Wars done with her husband Larry Dixon... Jennifer Robberson - Chronicles of the Cheysuli and the Sword Dancer series...

Bokks are like a drug... addictive as all get out, lol...

Just keep your hands low when reaching for them... scoop from under instead of above... my OH keeps forgetting that and wonders why they run away when a huge hand comes down from above, lol...
Poor duckies, and Deb! Hope they both get better quick...

Funny you mention that. I went out into the "swarm" now that the chicks are out of the brooder and onto the floor. While I stood, they made for the edges of the space. I squatted, and the most dominant BCM/EE came up to challenge me. And he is all of four inches tall at the shoulders.

lol... they recognize the face from hatching... hands and body are disconnected predators to them... they say tabletop brooding is best, but can be done just fine from above, all it takes is a few extra seconds and thought... :)

Lady Grey and Crash have their babies outside right now... I walked over and crouched down to watch them and they all swarmed over to sit in my shadow shade, lol...

You too? My favorite ones always have a fat cat laying in the window. That is my dream retirement job, used bookstore complete with over fed cat. :D

back in the day, when I had time to read.......

Steven Brust occupied allot of my reading time.....

then when I still wanted scifi, without the thinking, Piers Anthony.

I've heard good things about Piers Anthony, but haven't tried his books yet. If you like Stephen King & Dean Koontz, I highly recommend Jeffrey Deaver. I've read everything he's written. I've read everything King wrote through about 2001. Dan Brown (Da Vinci Code) has written a lot of good books. I also like John Grisham a lot. I go through books too fast. I no longer pick up anything unless it has at least 450 pages.
