French frogs

my weekend, was wet, but otherwise uneventful...

moved the latest chicks out to the grow out pen, and moved the pullets to their new hoop coop run....

started collecting eggs to set on Saturday. After tonight's collecting, we should have 45 ish eggs to set and incubate. Have at least one person for sure wants to buy day old chicks from us, and any he doesn't buy, we'll sell when they get about 8-12 weeks old.

Your hoop coop is cool looking! I hope they all like their new digs.

hatchery stock, 1.5 months old
10 BR pullets
5 RIR roos
10 White rock pullets

from our first hatch, we still have about 4 roos, and one or two pullets

breeder stock, existing laying, covered by a RIR (?) rooster, we have:

I boiled several dozen eggs last night, to feed back to the birds, and to keep myself from setting more.
(ok, so I saved Katherine's eggs to set tonight...ssshhhhh

I hate seeing all these lavender eggs recycled this way.
