French frogs

Your chicks are looking great! I love the personality that you can see already in them!

The Cornish influence definitely comes through on many of those hatched from your eggs, with wide bodies and short, thick legs Others have pea combs and some face fluff and EE colors, which looks funny on a thick legged, broad chested bird. They are an interesting bunch, and looks like better than 50% girls!

Well hopefully they take after their mothers and are pretty good little layers for you! The Cornish roo I've still got is actually pretty well behaved, but the other one was a bit of a jerk. So hopefully they are well tempered as well. Any health issues you've seen in them?

A few crossbeaks, a couple slow feathering/fail to thrive, but overall very solid little birds with appetites like alligators.

A 55' long run would wear my legs out!

We'd figure you set a new land speed record.
No, I did that when my sister fell off her bike going down a sidewalk where there were stairs at the bottom. (It was the perfect hill, steep and not one road going through it and they put STAIRS at the bottom, who does that???)

Dan likes people to beg

I bet he loves it!

I have finally finished my tractor
:weee
....well I still need to build a door, but except for that, rather important detail, I have the thing done. If I work tomorrow on it perhaps I can get the first batch of birds of into it tomorrow night. It needs to happen I can barely lift the cage we transport the chicks to an from the barn anymore. Those red ranger are huge, and heavy. I figure I will fashion a little run between the tractor and the pen, this will not be doable with 25 chicks.
