French frogs

Not been the greatest week for chickens, here... Lost one of my original 5 (one of the red sex links) to internal laying after finding a lash egg about a week before, and the other RSL is starting to move slowly. When I got home this afternoon, I saw this:

700

700

At least one of those prints was there Saturday, next to an empty egg shell. Too big for Abby, too small for Penny.

The only one missing is my white EE--one of the pullets I got on my daughter's birthday last year.

In better news, my Leghorn mix (hatched last Halloween) is broody, though the timing sucks, because fireworks selling season starts in about 2 weeks...

In actual good news, we sold over $200 of fudge this past Saturday. Probably would've been more, but for the wind.

Good morning. Drinking coffee and reading up.
I have some Cornish X chicks arriving in the morning. I plan on giving the chicks to a Buckeye broody hen that keeps trying to hatch and has no clue what lockdown is.
I hope she will accept the chicks and raise them for me. I plan on feeding them in the am and pm.
This is my first time raising Cornish X. Can anyone offer any advice?
