I am 700+ posts behind, the last time i caught up on 200 i got a Migraine an i refuse to do that again...

I been MIA because LA courts. We spent 11 hours in the courthouse 2 hrs from here on Mon. They still took my ole man at 7 PM becuz he didnt bring them enough $ to satisfy the lion. I dug up more $ to spring him yesterday. Flipn Child Support. Lil Shilah is 7 and her momma jus filed becuz my OH has a new Good job...

I jus wanna come home now? Ya gotta stiff DRINK for me?

It looks like we are settled on 5 new chicks from this round of staggered hatch. 12 more in the incubator.

Ravyn, I think the self blue wyandotte chicks are turning out all black like I assumed. Even with a SLW father.

Interesting how much lighter these SQ SLW are from my last couple batches. I have a theory that a thin laced SLW will be lighter as a chick.

I think the blacks may have a strait comb from their orpington ancestors. These are split for self blue. I hope to get some with rose combs.

I can't remember exactly, maybe SC can, but when I posted a pic of mine at a day old, he asked if that one woke me up crowing, wanting a cigar! And I'll be darned if he didn't turn out to be right. Just an early manly looking chick. Of course, I'm not so skilled to be able to tell.
