    It's as hard as you make it. I'm pretty hands off, so hatching is simple for me. Others spend a lot more time, watching to assist if they feel the need. Someone ought to start a thread...

    I just like watching them! I've really wanted to assist the ducks, but I haven't touched them. I did one minor assist yesterday. One lavender zipped all the way around, took forever, but I let it go and didn't try to help at that point. When she finally got back to the beginning, some of the membrane was still attached and she couldn't kick out. The shell was completely broken around. When I pulled the other chicks, I grabbed that one and wet the membrane, tore a couple spots, and she kicked out in my hand.
