I can't stand the news, either. I try to get my daily news intake from various sources on the web, though I rarely have time to read as much as I should and sometimes googles translation isn't the best from the foreign sources. The American newcast are just so noisy and they all have an angle. Not really facts so much as opinion a lot of the time. It's just so. . . noisy.
 
I can't stand most TV these days - it's all noisy and the commercials are ridiculous. I even watched some of the football games this weekend with the sound off since I get so sick of the ED pill commercials.

Watch a bit of news on PBS and can watch the local weather clip on the local news website. The rest I can read, or ignore.

That's plenty for me.
