I'm empty nest now. All of my last hatch are with their new mommas.

And I may not have shared, but the little black silkie baby died the first night. Not sure what happened, but she hasn't lost any more.

D'uccle update

Can I get some of these eggs from you also!!??? A friend of mine wants some and I would love to hatch some out for him.

Those look very nice! Better than I remember.

I actually think I can improve these d'uccle. The offspring look better than the parents. The wattles are getting smaller and muffs are getting bigger. A few have less white feathers than the parents, and Liam threw a black rooster that is gorgeous. I'm starting to think I may be able to pull these pet birds closer to SOP

I'm working on a plan to get setup for shipping eggs this spring

I don't like selling fertile eggs locally. I can't stand seeing my chicks on Craigslist, when all the people did was buy eggs from me then sell them as soon as they hatch. Shipping would be a good way to sell them without competing against myself

Ya know, I used to like the mille fleur best, but now I'm thinking I like just the black and white mottled. I'd really like to have blue!
