less risk with the chicks, since the seller has already culled? you wouldn't lose as many shipped chicks, as you would eggs, so the actual price per unit should remain close to the original.Yes... usually the min is higher though for chicks... plus compare shipping... the other part is some things can be seen at hatch for culling, eggs you never know if the chicks coming out could be the best you might hatch all year...

but then on hatching shipped eggs, you will have less hatch than what has been shipped, so the actual price per unit goes up.
I know chicken math refers to always getting more chickens than planned, but it sounds like shipped chicks would be the way to go, over shipped eggs?

All depends on who you are ordering from. You really have to research their stock and their reputation. If I was going for SQ birds, I'd pay through the nose for a trio of adult stock from a reputable breeder, then hatch my own chicks.
I like to hatch, can't stand the thought of chicks in a box going throu PO handling, so I'll keep ordering shipped eggs until I have enough good adults to hatch from.
All depends on your goals and how much time and money you have to get there.
I'm outta data couldn't listen, we listen to the same music.....Sorry, got distracted for a bit. You guys know how certain songs touch a nerve? I've been dealing with some pretty heavy stuff lately, and I also listen to pretty heavy music. I was riding down the road, and this heavy new song by one of my favorite bands came on. After a minute, I had tears in my eyes. As soon as I stopped, I looked it up to find the lyrics. Check this out.
Be warned, it ain't country
