Still kicking... literally... keeping her from injuring herself more is becoming a challenge...
Take half of an old bath towel, fold lengthwise to an appropriate size to cover neck to tail, put her feet behind and burrito wrap her. Secure with a blanket pin or velcro straps. Roll a hand towel as a pillow for her chin. She should settle down.
Adorable chicks!
Little G is absolutely adorable!! Our neighbors have a flock of about 8 turkeys that are all white and they come to visit us now & then. I just love them. Okay, who wants to come visit St. Louis and build me some coops for chickens & turkeys during your time here?
and
to all . ride will be here any minute and I have a work comp audit today too
Did get 206 into lock down last night and wonder how many of those will hatch
and yes Deb I'll Video tape the mass hatch. Kids are coming on Saturday to watch. Surely with that many they will get to see some hatching.
everybody be safe and have a great day.
Thanks! Don't get me wrong--this year's batch of kids isn't too bad (there's no one I half hope is absent on a regular basis:/ ) but 'tis a remarkably squirrelly time of year. Plus, hormones. You wouldn't think hormones would be a big deal with kids between 2nd and 5th grade, but they hit earlier than they used to. (We actually have a girl past menarche, and she's far from being heavy, which can trigger early puberty. The school only goes up to 5th grade.) Either I'm less awake than I thought, or my glasses are filthy--at first glance, I thought that said Easter Egger ducks, and I was terribly confused
