Oh everyone I found out I'm gonna be a grandpa again...this time from my youngest son......

Spice is actually getting stronger... still having head control issues and vision is unknown currently, but she is still fighting... and now she is fighting the tubing even... I am extremely amazed at her spirit, I seriously don't know how she is doing it...

Hang in there, Spice Girl, you're a tough one like your momma!

Finally finished the Silkie coop (almost). Critiques? Other than not being wide enough.

That is gorgeous! My birds are jealous!

Today....for the first time in my life...I parked close to the store....I usually park far from the door.....but today it hurt so bad to walk.....I parked close to the door......that was kind of significant for me.....

Spring is coming...just repeat that.

EE chicks at school started hatching today. 13 in the brooder 6 in the bator so far. I had to put one little guy down.

I think he was mishandled by a staff member who was graciously helping out but didn't know what to do. Looks like his yolk sack was pulled away and his little internals were outside covered in bedding.

Congrats on the hatch, and sorry for the little one.

That sucks....the dog that killed three of my ducks has been around a couple times lately....

Dogs and haybales get the same kind of treatment. Mulch and compost if necessary.

Ravyn, glad to hear Spice is solely improving.

Turk, sorry you have to cull a rooster. I feel a little remorse every time I have to put one down, even if it is for the best.

Very true Walnut....I haven't personally caught the dog.....I was informed by the neighbor.
And my ducks have been hiding in their coop allot.

Thank you! i feel bad too! I get about half way thru, and want to quit n put em all back tugther :/ hes really never going to be alright, at least i didnt raise this one! We ate my two first ever chick hatchlings a couple wks ago
