French frogs

Morning Oz, any progress from the chick?

Dr. Oz just removed the shell. It had got dry around the pip hole but we kept dabbing cotton balls and Qtips with warm water to loosen him up. His little wing was glued over his right eye and he couldn't free to zip. We worked pretty quick and got him back in the bator. Here's pics. Looks like yolk sac is absorbed but there's green stuff that's usually yellow. He's pretty strong.

So was it just malpositioned? Great job, I hope it thrives!

Yall donno shes pokin at him cuz i tol her the story, the first time i took this cat outside, tryn to acclimate him in a kennel setup, he was scared to death... Hes about 4-5 months old and anyway when the first chicken saw him she started a predator call and before i knew it every bird on the property was clucking, crowin, gobblin louder than ive Ever heard them! Poor Di... The Cat, is terrified of the birds now.

X 2! Nice work by Mrs. Oz!

So was it just malpositioned?  Great job, I hope it thrives!  :thumbsup

Thanks! Mrs. Dr. Oz is the real deal! I kept trying to supervise and she kept replying"I got this, you just bring me what I tell you." :D
Anybody know what the green stuff is? The little guy can't stand yet and has tremors. His respiratory rate has relaxed. I hope he makes it.

Thanks everyone for all the help!

Yeah  like not being chewed out . I don't think my kids would have made it in the fifty's . I went fishing and hunting all the time when I was a teenager . don't hunt anything now but dogs and rats .

You should get out brother.....I know it's hard...I've struggled to find time to fish and hunt for years....but the time out whether I catch anything or not is worth it.....Heck friends sometimes a walk in the woods is enough to get me grounded...of course being I live surrounded by and endless amount of forest makes that a little easier.

Same here...wife and I did the Brady bunch thing a long time ago. My three, even my daughter loved hunting, fishing, and real camping. My wife's three not so much. I was working as a full time laborer on a construction crew when I was fourteen. My how things have changed. :)

Yeah I hear you there.

:frow

Missed a lot today, sorry... :/

Toothache all night, painkillers made me sick, then a migraine this morn... dmn, I feel like chit...

:hugs. I hope you feel better.
Don't let that tooth go to long.

It is indeed.   Whenever I get out of the house I see fishermen on the river just a mile and a half away fishing for steelhead.  I haven't made time to go fishing there in over 15 years.  I don't know that I'd want to eat anything out of that river through suburbia.

Which river Walnut?
I won't eat the fish out of Lake Michigan.....but anything out of Lake Superior is way better. The cold clean water makes a difference....the fish don't get as big but talk about firm and clean tasting....

I've never caught a steelhead. These pictures really make me want to get out and fish.

It's like hooking into a VW....hang on tight...they fight up and down the river.
Fhe suckiest part is... my dang tooth still hurts, lol...

:hugs

Thanks... am getting through it... just was one of those days... poor critters got minimal today, I hear abiut it tomorrow no doubt... :/

Go to the dentist....it might be infected

I overbuild too.  I have never had anything fail from being overbuilt.  Portability, yeah, that can be an issue.

I am going to try to build a turkey tractor.  It has to be light enough to pull with the lawn tractor, so a couple hundred pounds at most.  It should not be a challenge to do, but I know it will be.

My brother is like that he way over builds everything.....the roof of my house will still be here after the rest of the house collapses....

Man I am so angry, depressed, p$@#^* off!
I can't tie a knot on my fishing line, can't take a fish off the hook if I could catch one. Prime fishing started here last month.
Okay I feel better, now. :rant

Yeah I have to wear reading glasses now to tie a knot...

Oh, almost forgot!

Spice squeaked today!!! First duckie noise she has made since the attack... still not in the clear, but she is still fighting...

AWESOME

Change your knots.  I severed the nerves in the four fingers of my left hand, then got a ganglioma in the back of the same wrist a few years later.  This knot has been my best friend since then...

We get old eh? I've got two numb fingers on my left hand.....makes some things a challenge...especially when trying to hold a nut blindly while turning a bolt.

I use the Palomar knot already because I don't see that well. :gig I'm pretty much one handed for about three more weeks. I'm getting on my own dadgum nerves .

All these inconveniences just means we made it to old age brother...they are battle scars.....
