I think I ended up with just three this round, but considering there were 9 fertile and I knew at least 2 were suspect that's nearly 50% on shipped eggs. I'm excited about this next batch. Every egg was in great shape, but the box was a bit beat up. I'll post a pic.I have some that look just like that...
I hope you wound up with more than three. This next batch should at least yield a better fertility for you.
That splash rooster is over 3 blacks and a very dark blue. I'm thinking the lighter blues are coming from the blue hen, and the darker blues are from the blacks. No splash? I hatched 9/12 yesterday, and 2 were splash
He's feeling better then?![]()
I had hubby on pip watch today. Poor guys...![]()
Ben had a big dayrode to and from the center alone . I followed them but he did great .I wasn't there all day but wasn't far away .I left and went to set up the teacher with the incubator and eggs. I taught the teacher gave her the specs and they should set the eggs tomorrow .Also told her to join and told her to come here or Amy's thread for help. and want her to post pictures of the kids and the hatch We'll see if she does it .
After that I went to Bargain Hunt and got Ben a big chair for the center. after that I went gun shopping at pawn shops .Didn't find anything though . And then went back to follow the van home . it was a big day . Tomorrow I'll follow them in drop off his lunch and come home .It's been a while since I've had anytime home alone.
Think I'll pull out my wheel of chores spin it and go from there![]()
She's just beautiful, K.
That's a wonderful step for both of you. He gains some independence, and so do you. I hope he makes new friends there.
She's a doll. I love those ringlets.
They had a chili base soup that was like a tortilla soup with grilled pork belly and "exploded" corn kernels. A few bits of diced cucumber, a touch of fresh cilantro, a dollop of ricotta and some nice tortilla strips and it was awesome.
Whoever was in charge of the design of the shrimp and grits has no taste buds. They ruined what could have been a good thing by dumping boiled shrimp in ala king sauce and dishing it onto a pile of hominy from the can. It was a disgrace. But when I get home I'm going to do my own interpretation with fresh shrimp scampi style on top of a bed of fresh yellow corn grits instead of pasta.
And why can't I find decent sweet tea in Michigan?
Looks fine to me too...So, while I'm still here (won't be in a few more minutes, then "not here" for about 8 hours, theoretically...) is there any reason that this is a bad idea?If you can't tell, that's a twist tie (the heavier kind that's wrapped around electrical cords, not the bread bag kind) holding the hygrometer probe onto the thermometer in the Brinsea.![]()
