My new boys :love

Awwwww...

Yum... only time I like fish... truly fresh... stick a pat of butter and some lemon in it, coat it with clay and drop that baby by the campfire... perfect... :drool
Oh, you too???? :gig
That brought tears to my eyes... seriously... love TN, but there's nothing like home...

Btw, I look just like that in only 5 mins in the sun... ;)
Gorgeous!!!

Oh, the boys are cute too... :D

Now I'm hungry....
Yeah I figured you to have about the same eating habits as me.... Are we twins?

Good Morning Frawgs!

Good morning!

What's everyone up to today?

Tons to do here Oz.... You?

Blech, yeah, I need to pick up some things, too.  I don't like shopping.
We got down to 40 overnight and they're predicting just 41 tonight.  I can't believe my heat is kicking on in the middle of May and I only have it set to 67.

We got snow last night... Buy it melted already. Thank God.
:gig
I just told my husband he needs to shoot the Tom cat that has been lurking around the farm. We really are rednecks aren't we....I never really doubted it. But it is rarely this obvious.
:gig

Yeah my necks pretty red....

Yes, DH is pretty red too. I think Amy probably has taller trees, but otherwise you both come from pretty areas.

Howdy Friday.... New Mexico still standing?
Of course. The pueblo people have been here a thousand years. This area is not going anywhere.

It's kind of strange, after living with earthquakes my whole life, not to have any here. Guess it's kind of weird that I miss them. (Well the quakes under 5.0 at least. No one misses the big ones.)

One of the true signs of spring...morels.

These are from under the pear tree just off the patio. I tossed some trimmings there a few years ago, and the spores took root under the pear tree. I picked 30 or so and the squirrels and chipmunks took probably the same. They seem to think they are walnuts, they are planting them around the yard. If some take root in the other uncultivated areas, I'll be able to have a regular feast.

And another sign of spring...even though we are expecting frost tonight...smoker is running

This is a 7 pound heritage turkey left over from November processing. Brined, dusted with Creole seasoning and smoked until done.

Some of us might miss the big ones.

Dibs on the leftovers.

Northridge quake was scary, woke us up even though it wasn't that close. In 92, the Landers quake and the Big Bear aftershock was bad enough to grab the kids and hide in the hallway. Tidal waves in the fish tank, pictures jumping off the walls.

Don't miss that.

Oh, right, earthquakes...nope, thankfully, I've never experienced anything much beyond "barely measurable". Sounds scary. Glad you don't have to deal with those any more!

LOVE morels!!! We have edible wild mushrooms here, but haven't found morels yet...
