Hey... Just found another duckling in the incubator.... So that's 9/12... But I'm pretty sure two were infertile as they never even started.... So I'm calling it 9/10

That's 90% in my book... Great job, Phil...

we set some of our eggs few weeks ago......


set 47
pulled 3 at day 7, no veining, no development. had 10 or so, that were questionable.
pulled 12 on lockdown day, all clear, no blood ring, so not fertile probably.
currently have 11 in the brooder, 2 more still in the incubator, 11 others in the incubator have pipped, and waiting on 8 others to do something.

I'm liking not seeing any white dots on their heads.......

we have a RIR rooster, covering BR's, BA's, and BO's......so even tho they are all black, could still be a roo in the mix.......but for sure if we see a white dot.

Yep--a Marans (hopefully a pullet...) The yellow is just the wall, though the ambient humidity is usually in the lower lockdown range Rarely reaches even 20C, though.
