One of our own Call eggs... was laid with a fully detached, rolling air cell... so far, developing nicely...

I never would have guessed it possible for an air cell to be loose "from the factory" but one of Baby's was laid that way too. It was a clear, though.

I hear voices in the GQF! First hatch in there underway. I haven't hatched in there 1. to keep the incubator clean so I could run it nonstop all season and 2. because I really wanted to have a dedicated hatcher with a viewing window. But my attempts at humidity control have been inconsistent in the coolerbator as I haven't graduated to using a humidistat. So GQF it is, and it holds rock solid anywhere I want it. I have it set at 60%.

Now...do I go in after the hatchlings or leave them alone? One is hollering pretty loud. I need a full view door...

Hi Phil. I did too much in the garden yesterday, too and am paying for it today. Oh well

I'll say it again Dan, you need to build a secure place for your chickens. Even if you get this fox, there are more out there.

Hooray for all the pips, peeps and new babies out there. It would be so hard not to see them Walnut, and I think I'd have to go in and get them if I could hear cheeping.
