Typically a dozen eggs to 8 to 10 pieces of bread. Any bread... white, wheat, 7 grain, brioche.
Whisk eggs in your favorite french toast recipe.
I choose cinnamon, white sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, and pumpkin pie spice. Maybe a splash milk or flavored creamer.
Break up bread and fold in. Let soak for 5-10 minutes.
Pour in buttered or cooking sprayed 8x8
Can fold in a bit of syrup here
bake 350° 45 minutes.
Simply reheat and you have a healthy quick breakfast 3-4 days.

Neat! :clap
Sounds like the bread pudding my Mom makes..:idunno
I love reading all these recipes..:thumbsup

I've never made bread pudding but it does turn out similar. A bit more bodied though. For me just heat and serve and have a healthy breakfast is my focus, actual french toast I think does taste better but no time to cook every day and reheated FT just isn't the same.
