Fresh eggs have brown speck in them, anyone know....

Inside the egg? I would think meat spots. I'm not on my puter right now, so I can't provide with you with the link that explains them, but they are nothing to worry about. Basically just small bits of tissue that are shed during the formation of the egg.
 
Thanks, yes they are on the inside of the eggs.

P.s. gritsar was it you yesterday that showed a post on old timey methods of hatchjng ? If it was can you post that link?

Nah hun, sorry it wasn't me. The only article that I know I've posted about hatching is "letting mama hen do it". I'm about to take the plunge into (artificial) hatching for the first time soon.
