Yep, if it was where I could reach it, I would take that back. You know, though, people seem to think that if it isn't right in your yard, it's fair game. I always had my real estate signs stolen; I always asked people if I could put them on their property when I needed them to be a certain place, so it was someone else who just thought they were there for the taking.
You know those plastic / foamboard political signs they put out everywhere??
We had a zillion of them put up in our yard (we live on a corner lot). So when the election was over, we just grabbed several of those that were blank on one side, glued the printed sides together (to make it blank on both sides), wrote our sign with a big water-proof marker, and it's stuck back out where all the political signs were.
If anyone decides they need our sign more than we do... we're not out any money, and I have supplies to make another one.
Surprised to see this thread pop back up.
I actually decided to make my own. The best part? It's an old Tyson sign! Just needed painting and lettering.
When you raise chickens commercially for Tyson or Pilgrims Pride they put a sign up at the end of your road with the company name and the grower's name. This one has been sitting around for 20 years and I gripe at my SO for never throwing anything away.
