Should I clean the eggs at all??

I don't wash them. They're kind of grungy from the hens tracking mud in the nest boxes. I toss the really dirty ones.
I meant to tell you you don't need to wait 24 hrs to set the eggs (unless it's just more convenient for you) --- 6 or 8 hrs is sufficient to let them settle.
