I have a rumpless aracuana that hatched yesterday. If I stand him up in the correct position he will stand for a couple of seconds then look up until he falls over backwards. If I hold him so that he doesnt fall he turns his head until it is upside down and backwards. It looks awful and painful. He will not be able to eat or drink like this. Has anyone had this happen before? Can it be fixed? My husband thinks it looks like he has inner ear problems.

You would not believe all the posts I have seen this year about chicks falling over backwards. It is some sort of nuerological thing I believe and many times these chicks do survive. So I am going to give you a link here to another post that seems right up your alley. I hope it helps you and your baby out, if nothing else, you can be comforted in knowing others have this exact same issue. [IMG]
