Freshly hatched gosling has deformed eye and seems very weak help!?

Hi I posted this originally here but then found the emergency thread. My gosling was born late last night and seemed strong at first and has been up until now. I noticed it’s right eye looked like it had goop or something very wrong with it sticking out of it (pictures in link at top) and now it is lying there, still completely alive but it just seems tired. I’m mostly concerned about the eye. What’s wrong with it and is it life threatening... but also is it normal for a goose still not to be able to lift up its head and stand yet? It still hasn’t quite been 24 hours yet. Please help ASAP...

Sorry about your gosling. You will probably get better answers from those on the geese forum unless more people who hatch a lot of chicks sees this. Chickens have eye problems similar with a bulging eye sometimes. Those usually end up blind in the affected eye. Have you tried vitamins for the gosling?

I haven’t, what vitamins would you recommend?
