Just so you know, she lives near me. If there's something she has for sale that you need, let me know and if I'm going to the Bay Area I can take it as far as maybe Hayward.

Hmmmm so Carrie which ones are for me???

Yea I am trying to find a Silkie Hen for my poor lonely rooster...have a bunch of chicks but that does me NO good right now....maybe a few delaware hens or sussex hens

I've been trying to get at least 2 more hens for months. Someone tried to sell me three cockerels a coupld of weeks ago and said they were pullets. Another person tried to sell two black hens with single combs. Not having much luck. I'm also trying to help a BYCer find SQ pairs or trios. He needs other breeds as well, but Silkies are for some reason hard to find lately.
OHHHH

Karen bought a pair at the Stockton show. Maybe she'll have some for you when she gets going with them.

Lol of course...I'm hatching a bunch....and some polish I got a polish at stockton but I'm having no luck with Silkies either i just need 1!!!!!! lol...and not partridge cuz i have a hen that i'm selling ot someone soo im SOL so maybe keep your eyes peeled for me???

Mrs Foote: Are both cockerels? I might be willing to swap a pet quality Dark Brahma pullet (August hatch) for them, her thighs are too heavily feathered, giving her a vulture hock appearance.

Wolftracks: What do I have for you? Nada, unless you are after chicks. Stockton pretty much cleared me out of SQ birds.

What do I have to sell:

Females:

Dark Cornish pullets about 10months old, fully feathered free-rangers laying now. These are considered bantams, but are the size of leghorns/Ameraucanas. $25ea

Partridge Rock pullets about 9 months old, laying now. Pretty birds, well marked, but large enough to show competitively. $35 ea

Meat-Type Rock pullets, 7 months old, huge birds, but I only need a couple of them. These are not great laying birds, but they run around the property with everyone else, and have not shown any leg problems associated with meat type birds. I do not cosset these girls, and tried to cull out those prone to rales (inherit to the breed). They have been with my Davis Black Copper Marans Rooster, and are probably fertile from him. I got them to raise my own (faster growing) Freezer candidates. $25 ea.

White French Marans pullets. Varying ages 4-9 months. ($100-$150)

Males:

Will have Silver Penciled and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes. Only 6 months old now, and not really developed enough to select/sort for quality. Will probably offer them in April.

Newly Hatched to Pipping Now!:

Very limited numbers available in each variety:
True Ameraucanas - $15ea
Easter and Olive Eggers $10ea
Buff Wyandottes - $15ea
Black Australorps - $15ea
French Marans in solid shades of Blue (B/B/S) $15; Black $20; and White $25

If you would like to purchase any of these, please PM me today/tonight. Due to heavy snows, I need to sort and pack all adult birds with my show stock tomorrow during the daylight hours. The newly hatched will be the last ones boxed on Friday morning.

Smiles from the Sierras!
