She doesn’t sleep outside yet because I need to make sure she knows where the food and water are at, but I will probably let her sleep outside sometime this week! Also, we are going to see how a baby Turken (a chicken with no hair on its neck) interacts with her since we can’t find any ducklings, not even at Tractor Supply, I haven’t seen any ducklings there so we shall see how they get along! Hopefully they love each other! I’m waiting to see what gender Erin actually is because of her disability and for the chick to not need a heat lamp anymore!Erin is adorablethank you so much for letting us know how she’s doing!does she sleep outside too? Thank you! I just posted my story or short summary!@Quacker381, thought you might enjoy this thread about special needs ducks (an oldie but goodie, IMO): https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/ducks-with-special-needs.1136769/.
She’s growing really quick! I thought she was going to be smaller than the rest but boy was I wrong!!!! She caught up to them real quick!Erin looks so happy - and is clearly growing like a weed!My Pekins are just a bit over 3 weeks and are huge, too. I've never seen ducklings grow that fast!
Thanks for the update - keep 'em coming!![]()
