I go Orpington all day. The blue gene — BB (splash), Bb (blue), and bb (black). Big. Friendly. Lays plenty of eggs. They go broody. They taste good. Can fit plenty of eggs under themselves thanks to their size. Anybody agree with me? Orpingtons are on top — the best breed.

I love Cochins because they’re soft, fluffy, and completely irresistible—like little walking teddy bears. Their gentle, calm personalities make them easy to connect with, and they’re affectionate in their own way, whether following me around or patiently sitting while I pet them. Watching them waddle, fluff up, and interact with each other is endlessly entertaining, and each one has a personality that makes me smile. Caring for them feels rewarding—they bring comfort, joy, and a little bit of magic to my day. Simply put, I love them because they make life brighter

In term of quiet, easy going, friendly and cute as a button, I say my Pekin bantam. They are not so much on egg laying, they don't lay egg in winter and in spring and summer lay about 3 eggs a week.

I love all these breeds, Sussex and Wyandotte especially I've always wanted these, I've always found Leghorns to stop laying early and they don't have very long life-spans. Faverolles would be my #2

Still figuring out what ones I like. Got a "one of everything" flock to try a few. I like something about all of them so far.
