friend sent me an email her chickens sick.. whats wrong!!

this is her email to me...

Our chicken started acting very, very strange today and I think she might be dying. It looks like some kind of psychological thing or an imbalance problem. Her head doesn't come upright and she constantly is rubbing her head in her chest, like preening but not quite. She's also doing somersaults and falling over as a result of her head being down.

I'm afraid by morning she won't be alive. We have her isolated from the rest of the chickens just in case.

Could it be wry neck? It can be common in things like silkies or due to head inuries. Sometimes if the bird is young, extra vitamins can help them recover. Try searching for wry neck.
