I'm just wondering which breeds you've found to be the friendliest. So far, my wyandottes have been really happy to be held.

I have a 1 month old silver-laced who will fly on to my arm and roost if I reach it out within a few feet of her. She loves me to pet her across the back and will close her eyes when I do so. She's quickly becoming my favorite! I have a buff wyandotte (my son named her Pikachu) will sit on his lap for as long as he lets her. It's cute. I should take a pic

Have you had the same experience with certain breeds?

I have had over 8 of theses breeds & different strains:

RIR are the worst chickens I have ever owned!!!

Buff Orpington (docile not really wanting to be helda1
Silkies (some sweet some Mean but they are fun to watch)
Cochin Large fowl & Bantam (Bantam sweeter)
EE & Ameraucanas (Ameraucanna nicer)
Plymouth Rock Buff, Barred & Partridge (Buff & Partridge were sweeter)
Polish gentle (some ski-dish)

All time Favorite are Brahmas Big & Small they are sweet!!!
I bred Lge Buff lost my Breeders!
Bantams lay about 190 nice size eggs (2nd year bigger)

Malay, asil and Rhode Island Reds I think a nice..

We had a Large Fowl Cochin Rooster that was a fighter.. (its not a good thing when your LF Cochin rips skin off the judges hands at a show but the judge did get a Laugh out of it)...

You can get good and bad chickens in a breeds...

Out of mine my BOs, My BCMs, and my 2 little cochins are the friendliest. I have a BCM and BO that will follow me around everywhere and the little cochins run to me and fly to sit on me.

My buff orps are the lap chickens of my flocks. They love to be held, snuggled and take a nap on your lap.

A lot of my chicks are very friendly but I try to see who stays friendly as they mature and become "active". My one little Australorp hen has stayed sweet and follows us everywhere.
A lot of my Araucanas are super sweet when young and stay that way even as they become dads and moms later in life.
I have a few cuckoo Marans that are sweet but others in the same flock that are just stuck up.
My buff Orps hens have never been friendly but my one roo is very nice.
The EE hens are mostly all sweet and easy to pet and pick up but my roo is distant.
