friendliest breeds (in your personal experience)?

My Naked Necks are by far the friendliest birds I have. They are naturally curious and very easy to handle.
Second vote would have to be my Australorps...one of them likes to ride on the lawn tractor with me when I am mowing...

The cochin is hands down, the friendliest chicken ever. Also, my blue slate turkey poults are lap babies. All of them are so precious. Even the juvies in the big pen talk to me, and run up and want to be picked up.

My Kraienkoppe is the only real lap chicken I have. BA and BO are pretty docile but not really friendly. RIR is the meanest. Lots of people say EE's are friendly but I have 6, one roo, and can't get near any of them.

ok, funny story from this morning. I was out there, letting them out, feeding and such. So several of my little ones were still sitting on the roost (near the back of the coop) and there were a couple of my bigger ones sitting on the feed bin where I keep my big bags. It's near the front of the coop, by the door... about 5 ft away from the roost.

Anyway, so I bend down to pet one of the bit girls and then suddenly hear the flap of wings, look over my shoulder to find my little silver-laced wyandotte landing on my back

She's so precious. I hope she stays so friendly toward me

I would say Cochins and Buff Orps are the friendliest I have ever had. Like, 95% have have really calm and docile. Probably, Silkies would be next, but it has been more like 50-50 friendly to skittish.

I have an orpington but it's not buff. It's a blue. So far, it's nice enough. Still a little scared of me but not to the point of wanting to fly away when I pick it up like a couple others I have.
