Sasha was so surprised she couldn't speak. Finally she managed to nod.

"We need to tell Stone. Or Mist." She said, frantically. She broke into a quick trot toward the camp.

" Enough! Devon, go to camp, now!" Fang snapped. " And get the bear away. Cold Death, you stay here."

Cold Death nodded.

Nightmare lapped the ice cold water from the river. The taste was old and smoky. A fire must have burned not too far from here. He thought. I will need to keep an eye out for any signs. He sniffed the water and then turned to walk back into camp.

Moonlight waited. She sat afraid. She couldn't see anything that was going on but could definitely hear it. The thought of what they were doing scared her. She tried to keep her eyes open and kept her breath steady.

Whisper walked out of her cave and into camp. She looked around. There didn't seem to be as many pack members wandering around camp as there was before. A little puzzled, she walked to the kill pile and found an old bone with some flesh still on it. She stripped the rotting meat from the bone.
