" Why?" Shadow asked.

"Cause I'm lonely... And I'm scared. I've lived with Fang I've seen what he does. I'm afraid he will find me." Heart thought, then began, "I don't have any friends and sometimes it hurts so bad. Maybe because I'm lonely, and because I miss my parents." She looked up at Shadow. "I'm weak, Shadow. Things I've seen, and what the blood pack did, I've never really recovered. Some days I can't find the strength or will to get up."
