Caroline stops. The flock of wild turkeys is in a large meadow just ahead. Loping forward, she attacks, taking out the tom. They scatter, regrouping about 200 yards away. "Your turn," she says, dragging the tom near a bush to begin cleaning him.

Jay shrugged and chased after them. He was quick. He leaped on a fat female, killing it.
