Cloud looked up. "Clover and I just ate." He said.

Fire shook her head,  "Nope."

Phoenix started to head out, then stopped. She was looking far off into the distance. Then she spoke aloud to the others," Thank you, for your concern and worry for Jasper and Nialla. You are wolves of fortitude and principals. A rarity in our world, where blood and bones are the currency of the forest." She slowly turned to look each of them in the eye with gratitude. Looking down at the ground, she asked them very quietly," Could I ask a favor, I have no right to ask?" She then looked back at her pups, seeing their shocked expressions. After a moment, she finally looked back at Clover and asked, "Would you mind if I left them here with you, so that I may go hunting more swiftly? I do not trust that all of Fangs wolves have left...I promise you, I won't be gone long. If you don't want them here, I'll understand." She finished waiting for their reply.

Jasper was offended he didn't need a babysitter. He was old enough to hunt on his own. Why was she leaving them behind now?

Nialla wondered why that would matter, she always had them with her. She never left them behind. NEVER.
