Friends Welcome

My brother has a hard head...He's taking guitar lessons and his teacher (I know him really well) told me to buy this song on iTunes (Wake me up when September ends - Green Day) and burn it to a CD, well then he says to my brother: "you could also get a MP3 Player" He was very happy when he heard that! I wasn't...He's to young to have one ( I think so) and It's cheaper to buy a song for like a dollar and buy a blank CD and burn it onto it.

I've been telling his this but he WANTS a mp3....he doesn't NEED it. But he says he does. and I know he will go and beg to my dad for one

Well, it's honestly not your business. Long and short what you think doesn't count on this one, if he asks dad for an MP3 player and gets it, it doesn't concern you. On a related note, it's an easy song to play. You can buy a cheap mp3 player for $10, it'll hold about 100 songs. When us oldies were your age we had "walkmans" (google it) that cost ~ 20 each, and held 1 hour of music.

He may not NEED one but it won't cause you physical pain if he has one so why waste your time worring about it?

I come from a large family (I have 6 siblings) I know we all like to have our own opinions on what one of us needs or not... but at the end of the day... it's just like the old joke - opinions are like bungholes, everyone has one... some smell worse than others.

No twins or anything here either.
Did I mention we were FAR TOO POOR to worry about such things?
When I was growing up, I got mostly hand-me-downs to wear... all except shoes.
I had 2 pairs of shoes a year: one pair of dress shoes for church and a pair of rubber boots for playing.
ipods and MP3 players weren't even invented yet!!!
I was 16 years old before I bought my first TV. It was a 12" black and white screen.
Kids today don't know how good they've got it!
Also I could mention I was 24 years old before I got my first cell phone, it was HUGE
