lansana (sp?) not shure if your fam likes that tho

We love lasagna here too, I make mine with cottage cheese.
Everyone says they can't believe it when I tell them it's cottage not ricotta...
Cottage cheese is way cheaper than ricotta around here.
Saves me about $2-3

my famlie loves it too , we too make it with cottage cheese

I have a whole pork lion and a family pack of 20 boneless pork chops (both bought on 50% off and frozen that day), any ideas on those (no I have no idea how to make a porkchop, other than it involves breading and frying, both cardinal sins in my mother's kitchen).

Season them with some cracked pepper and garlic, broil them in the oven on the broiler pan or on a cookie sheet, 3 - 5 minutes each side (depending on how thick they are) and then baste the top side with BBQ sauce and broil them for 3 - 4 more minutes. Broiler pan will be less fatty and will cook them faster.

Maybe this is the time to mention I grew up in chinatown, no i'm not asian, just eat that way.

i don't even know what a dumpling is. sweet cornbread? I know what meatloaf is but....?

Sweet cornbread: make your favorite recipe or even a box/bag mix if you like, add 3-4 tablespoons of sugar or substitute to the dry ingredients and bake as usual.
It's a favorite at our house, my husband swears it's a southern thing, I don't have a clue but it's awesome

I just put mine in a frypan on med-low, sprinkle with garlic powder and salt & pepper, about 5-7 min/side depending on thickness, Yum!

Another option from a chinese friend of mine...
From Sherry:
I used one pound, thinly cut, boneless pork sirloin.

I don't know why but mom says I have to do the following ingredients in this order. Sorry if the measurements are not exact, mom doesn't use measuring spoons so I have to improvise.

Rinse and pat dry the pork.

Sprinkle pork generously with pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Drizzle olive oil over pork, don't drown it with oil, you want a nice sheen after you mix it into the pork. (about 1/2 Tbs)

Then add 2 tsp of soy sauce, mix.

Add 1 Tbs of Oyster Sauce (can be found in the "Ethnic" aisle of the grocery store. Doesn't contain oysters nor does it taste like oysters, excellent for marinating rib eye steaks, which I can walk you thru later). Mix.

Add 1/2 Tbs of Hoisin Sauce. Mix.

Add a sprinkle of sugar. Mix. (1/4 tsp)

Add 1 tsp each of corn starch and baking soda, Mix.

Dredge each piece of pork thru equal parts of flour and cornstarch mixture.

Heat olive oil in pan, fry each piece of pork until it is a nice golden brown. Make sure to keep plenty of oil in pan or the pork won't brown nicely. Set on plate lined with papertowel to soak in the grease.

(Adjust the ingredients if you use more pork, if you use thicker cuts of pork, you may want to let it marinate for an hour or two).

Enjoy!
