I told ya boo...you can have my sleeper sofa! Come visit me with your pony trailer in tow and you can have my old sleeper sofa and my big squishy chair with the ottoman and you can have the loveseat and 2 other upholstered chairs but you may not want those...they are beat up real bad.

Hey everyone. I miss talking to y'all. It's been really busy here lately (Symposium is coming up next month...). I ordered new chicks to replace the rooster and one hen two nights ago. I got a maran, faverolles, and one silkie. I also ordered one of those ceramic coop heaters for by the roost.
Ranger is getting shots next friday. If those don't work, I may have to have him put down. I really don't want to but if he's going to be in pain...
My friend who gave me Ranger has two horses that I want to go look at. One he wants me to train because she won't let him on her, but apparently will let girls on. The other is 18 hands and was given to him by someone who owed him some money.
I haven't slept in the past two nights because I've been cleaning to get the house ready for sale. Not sure when it'll go up though... The Realtor said that the brass needed to be replaced because it was outdated. Hopefully I might get some rest tonight.

i wrote a poem about, of all things, my spice cabinet!

“Open up the old wood door
And smell delicious melody
Of spices, extracts, pastes and teas
blended in a symphony
of smells from ’round the world collected
of India curry and Chinese tea
and over all the softest hint
of vanilla, cumin, salt, and mint
of coffee, fresh-ground, black, and stiff
as i step in and take a sniff
of sweetest spice and bitter blooms
the sweet fragrance fills the room
its like traveling ’round the world
and yet-
I never leave the cabinet”
