It's kissing 80 here, but the beaches are still high 60's. If it stays warm a few more days the boys' ll start swimming practice next week (told them they have to be stronger swimmers before I teach them to surf). Evan's not into sports at all, I was considering putting him in dance, but Boyd pointed out the kid already has a hard time making buds with the speech thing, but he's wanted to surf for a few years. so we're going to let him try.

Surfing isn't a sport, it's an art form! Heck yeah!!! Teach the lil bud to swim, then teach him to surf, grow his hair out, teach him how to say brolly, sharky, woofy, and sewage and he'll have lots of lady friends

And tell him to avoid surfer bumps on his stomach. Feet and hands are ok, but not on the ribs.

Yeah, figured it would be good for him, he's strong and a solid swimmer, just out of practice. But since we'll have a pool the next 2 years, get them in there daily (love homeschooling) and have them get good enough for the ocean. At 12 having some surfing skills will help him get thru bumpy puberity.

80?????? It's 43 here right now.

Grab your suit, head south and i'll fix up something blended with a pineapple skewer.

Dang it all!!! I have a baby shower to go to today. Can you tell I am thrilled? NOT. I am gonna take myself outta here early and go to Barnes & Noble and then Oggi's for another one of those DELICIOUS balsamic chicken salads before the shower.

Since it was nice today, I worked at tidying up my barn and coops, but I didn't get much done. I need move the outside run to the other side of the barn but before I do that I need to rearrange the interior of the barn without mixing the roosters, so I'm kinda stuck until I work out how to do it.

I have a ton of scrap wood, plywood, 2x4s, pallets, screens, plexiglass, windows, an old wood swingset and even a few doors that were left on the property when we bought it. The bad news is, I have no idea how to turn it all into useful structures. I even have what looks like a disassembled building, but I have no idea how to put it back together. It's frustrating.

I've been working on these darn chickens saddles for a week now. I got a pattern off the internet and followed the instructions (I ended up looking at several chicken saddles and picking the 'best' one). First, the elastic was too long, so I had to cut it and re-sew it. Now, the back of the saddle keeps sliding left and right.

Anyone have any ideas?
