I've shoveled a lot of the snow out of the run, there's still a layer of ice over the grass, it's pretty think and not melting (stupid reflective qualities of white)

Yesterday I took a shovel full of gravel and sprinkeled it over the ice, lets see how many days it takes for the dark gravel to warm up enough to melt through the ice to the grass.

There are 17 babies making a mess in the house right now. They are getting feathers and trying to fly in the brooder. Eek! I need to move the playpen coop into their grow-out outiside pen. The silkies are in the playpen coop right now and they need a real home.
