I'm sorry to hear about your BO Debi.

I don't think I ever knew that about a sidewinder, being able to knock down a 300lb man.
The only snakes I ever see around here are gopher snakes, and not too often anymore.
I use to see these cute little red ones, they were only a few inches long, and I would let them curl around my finger and call it my ring. I don't know what kind they are. I also have not seen one since I was about 12 years old.

Here in the Mojave Desert, if one is smart, one doesn't play with snakes. These rattlers here are very very dangerous. Have any of you ever watched Venom ER on Animal Planet? That doctor is at Loma Linda, just about 35 miles from me here, and most of those patients were bitten up here in the desert.

The odd thing about that is, in the 10+ years I have lived here, I have never seen a snake. Just signs of them.

We went to Margie's to pick up our turkeys. She has gosslings

they just follow me everywhere.

We picked up our 3 broad breasted whites, the hertage turkesy come in May.

They are so stinkin cute, and so animated and playful, we just love them.
