Here's some pictures of the bantum babies I hatched from Chickencoop's eggs last week. They're mostly Silkie mixes with maybe some pure barred bantam cochins and a few Sebright mixes. My goal was to recreate my broody flock, so I figured I couldn't go wrong with a Silkie/Cochin cross for a future broody mama!

There's 6 black ones, (but one died

My one little black Serama chick next to one of Chickencoop's yellow banty chicks. Aren't Serama's so tiny?

They're all doing great - eating and drinking fine. A few pasty butts and one wry neck, but nothing I can't handle. I need to PM chickencoop to see if she can give me a better idea of which ones are from which cross. They're so cute!

Well, I did it. I found some hens on CL today and called the number. $3.50 per hen. So I picked up two. Much to my suprise, they had been debeaked. But, I fell in love with them and could not say NO. So, I am $7.00 short with two beautiful (albeit shorten beaked) birds. They appear healthy otherwise, and are eating fine. When I get home I will post pics. I
