Actually, yes. To be honest. I'll be doing a ton of stuff I don't do now. Sports and activities and events and stuff.

Isn't it funny how that works? Men that are widowed first spend the rest of their lives moping. Women who are widowed first spend the rest of their lives having fun.

My husband's parents had a miserable marriage, didn't even really like each other, but they stayed together. She passed away from a massive heart attack in 2006 and he was beside himself with grief. Now he works, drinks himself to sleep and gets up for work the next day. He doesn't go anywhere or do anything - shows no interest in his kids or grandkids. It's so sad!

Hey! I'm in the room ya know?

No you're right, if you're extroverted it works out well being a comfortable widowhood. (if it wasn't for 2 giant medical bills i'd still be quite comfortable).

Hi Saddi. I guess we were talking theoretically. Well, I don't know if I'd have a "comfortable" widowhood. Hubby and I don't make much even combined. I'm sorry the stupid medical bills swallowed up the comfort zone you might have had.

Good I got this image of you with a straw up your nose....

Very sad. My dad never had any kind of friendship, male or female, after my mom died in 1993. Kind of sad, because he'd be a great guy for a quiet, unassuming nice lady.
